Ingram Equipment Company Unveils New Rent-a-Tech Program
Company Expands Services to Provide Enhanced Customer Support
Birmingham, Alabama (April 12, 2023) ─ Ingram Equipment Company (IEC), an industry-leading environmental, waste management, and commercial equipment company, has unveiled a new Rent-A-Tech program to provide customers with short and long-term shop assistance at their own locations. The program extends IEC’s commitment to supporting changing customer needs across their southeastern footprint, serving clients across Alabama, Mississippi, and the Florida panhandle.
As part of the program, technicians attend an immersive training program led by skilled IEC team members designed to enhance their capabilities and ensure they are knowledgeable, safe, and expertly trained to work on any customer equipment. The program builds on the foundation of IEC’s commitment to meeting their customers where they are – ensuring equipment remains up and running and eliminating barriers some customers may face with transporting equipment to and from IEC locations for maintenance or repairs.
“Our company is truly committed to putting our customers first,” says Jeff Martin, CEO of Ingram Equipment Company. “Over the last few years, we have strategically positioned ourselves to allow flexibility when it comes to the services we provide, and to quickly launch new programs like Rent-A-Tech to address customer needs head-on.”
The Rent-A-Tech program allows for companies to rent technicians to work on their equipment on-site, on a short or long-term basis, in four-hour blocks of time over the course of days, weeks, or months if needed. In addition to repairing and maintaining equipment, technicians will also train customer staff on how to best use, maintain, and perform minor repairs on equipment moving forward.
“At IEC, we like to say, ‘we despise downtime’ — and we really do,” says Keith Johnson, General Manager and Vice President of Ingram Equipment Company. “Our focus as a company is to ensure our customers’ trucks are running and ready for the jobs ahead. This program allows us to do just that.”
IEC began welcoming Rent-A-Tech technicians in January and expects to train and deploy technicians to customer locations throughout the year.
